Workshops. Presets. Ugh.There’s loads of them around to choose from, and you can also find out pretty much anything you want to find out from YouTube anyway. So I’ve come up with something a little different. Something more ‘hands on’.
I have a stack of CVs from (usually new) photographers asking me if they can come along and gain some experience, which is fine, but it’s only half of the story if you want to become a full time wedding photographer. Most of my time is spent marketing and running my business, and some of my time is spent actually taking pictures. I know that’s a cliché, and it might not be what you want to hear, but it’s a very competitive industry and you need to know what you’re getting yourself into.
No groups, no slideshow, no “let me tell you my story and how I came to be so amazing”. Just me, my experience and some guidance, and your future awesomeness. Call it training. Call it experience, or call it a mentorship if you like, but without some input from you it’s going nowhere. You need to invest in this stuff. You need to tell me what you want. Are you up for it?

I’ve been working professionally as a photographer all of my life, and have been photographing weddings since 2003. My experience is vast – I know what works, and I know the pressure points in running a viable wedding photography business in 2018. (The short story is; There are no short cuts, but with a certain commitment you can build something solid and sustainable).
The main thing to take away from this is that if you don’t know why you want to be a wedding photographer, you’re going to find it harder to get to the next level. Not impossible, but harder. The trick is to build a sustainable business that you can grow based on your own values and ethics. There’s plenty of room for you if you’re going to have fresh ideas in a sea of cookie cutter photography.
If that’s you, I can help.
Please get in touch if you want to kick-start your career. You can call me on 07738 413 599 to discuss.
